Brief Project Description: Sona is a boutique stay set inside a 1930s Spanish Mission-style former bank, reimagined by Jumbled’s Pip Brett. With the building’s original character — Solomonic columns, plaster half-shells and Art Deco detailing — as the backdrop, our brief was to bring warmth, colour and comfort to every room. We designed and made custom bedheads in bespoke fabrics custom-printed by Bonnie and Neil, along with custom curtains and blinds and upholstered seating, each tailored to the scale and palette of its space. The soft furnishings layer texture and pattern against the heritage architecture, striking the balance between playful and refined that defines the stay. The result is a richly considered interior where every fabric, cushion and curtain feels intentional — a former bank transformed into one of the region’s most characterful places to stay.
